Solicitor (Sports Department) NQ – 2 PQE 

Sheridans is looking for a junior non-contentious sports solicitor for its Film, TV and Sports Department.

Sheridans has a long standing top tier ranking for Media and Entertainment and, following growth in recent years, the Sports group now has its own ranking in the leading directories, with its Partners recognised as leading individuals within the sector.

The ideal candidate will be up to two years qualified with strong commercial experience, in particular in the drafting and negotiation of commercial contracts and the licensing of intellectual property. A practical understanding of the sport and leisure industries is preferable, ideally with some experience of working in these sectors. The candidate must possess excellent drafting skills; be an effective communicator; an innovative thinker; have the confidence to handle a diverse workload; and an enthusiasm for business development. Familiarity with the film and TV industries would be helpful, though not essential.

Applicants should be able to work under their own initiative but will also have the opportunity to develop their skills by working with more senior members of the department.
