Stephen Kempner is a Partner in the Music and Brands Groups.  

Stephen is particularly well known for helping to launch the careers of new and emerging talent in addition to his work for various chart topping acts. He also advises on trademark matters for a range of brands.

His clients range from new and up and coming talent through to established artists, songwriters, producers, sports personalities, leading production houses, fashion brands, advertising and talent agencies.

Stephen was praised in The Legal 500 for his “drive, passion and encyclopaedic industry knowledge”.

Recent work includes:

• Dealing with a multimillion pound endorsement deal between a sports personality and a high street bank
• Representing a major artist in relation to international touring agreements and related matters
• Overseeing copyright/trademark infringement matters for an established brand

Stephen speaks at a number of conferences and appears on various panels addressing the core commercial, contractual and intellectual property issues that often underpin business in the creative industries.
