Zareen Ali

Zareen joined Sheridans in 1996 qualifying in 1998 and she has been a partner in the Real Estate Team since 2002.

Zareen's experience in all areas of commercial real estate is broad based including:

• specialist interest in hotel acquisitions, disposals and management
• providing corporate support in relation to property issues.
• landlord and tenant matters, noteably negotiation and granting of leases of hotels, retail premises, restaurants, industrial units and post offices, with considerable experience in film location and recording location lease agreements.
• property financing and refinancing in relation to hotels and development sites working in conjunction with major banking institutions.
• high value residential sales and purchases including development work.

Notable transactions undertaken include:

• Acting for a substantial offshore family trust in the acquisition of 15 hotels, dealing with the initial acquisition, including financing and refinancing, drafting operating lease agreements, onshore property management agreements and the granting of sub leases within the hotel premises.
• Acting for an offshore trust in respect of the staggered refinance of an investment property portfolio comprising over 200 properties with a value of over £125 million and secured borrowing of over £80 million
• Advising on the acquisition of three adjacent development sites, drafting documentation for the ultimate sale of the residential and commercial units and completing the disposals accordingly.
