Kate Davies
Kate advises on a diverse range of matters relating to film and television development, production, finance and distribution, both domestically and internationally. She represents owners and licensees in the exploitation of TV format rights and has particular experience in advising on celebrity-driven formats. She acts for a range of talent including authors, comedians, television presenters, writers, actors and illustrators and has represented the interests of various celebrities including the Osbournes and Robbie Williams on television projects.
Kate also represents a number of well-known independent television production companies and has been involved in advising on the legal aspects of the filming of a number of large scale events for television including the BAFTAs. She advises on all aspects of international co-production for film and television. Kate acts for both federations and broadcasters in relation to the exploitation of a range of sports rights including rugby, gaelic football, hurling and cricket.
Recent films that Kate has been involved with include ‘City of Ember’, ‘Glastonbury’, ‘Amazing Grace’ and the new Mike Leigh film.
Kate is an active member of the Events Committee for Women in Film and Television.
